What it means
P006B means the ECM found that the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor reading and the exhaust pressure reading don't agree the way they should. The computer cross-checks these signals to manage boost and, on diesels, EGR and exhaust after-treatment. When they disagree, it can't trust the data, so it often drops the engine into reduced-power mode until the mismatch is resolved.

How to diagnose & fix
Work through it in order
- Read freeze-frame data and compare live MAP and exhaust-pressure readings against each other at idle and under load.
- Inspect both sensors and their connectors for contamination, damage, or corrosion.
- Check for intake and exhaust leaks and, on diesels, EGR and DPF restriction.
- Test each sensor's signal against spec to identify which one is out of range.
- Repair wiring or replace the confirmed faulty sensor, then clear and road-test.
