P2154

Fuel Injector Group C Supply Voltage Circuit High

Fuel injector circuit Generic OBD-II High

What it means

P2154 means the PCM detected an abnormally high voltage on the supply circuit feeding fuel injector group 'C'. Because that circuit powers a group of injectors, the affected cylinders may not fire correctly, causing misfire, rough running, or hard starting. The usual causes are a wiring short-to-voltage or open, or a faulty injector control/driver module β€” this is a circuit fault, not a worn part.

High

Can I keep driving? May run rough or misfire on the affected injector group and can be hard to start β€” drive as little as possible until repaired.

Common symptoms

What you'll notice

Common causes

Most likely first

  1. Fault in the injector-group supply voltage circuit β€” short to voltage or an open causing high reading
  2. Faulty fuel injector control/driver module
  3. Injector supply harness open, shorted, or chafed
  4. Poor connection or corrosion at the module/injector connectors

How to diagnose & fix

Work through it in order

  1. Read freeze-frame data and visually inspect the injector supply wiring and connectors.
  2. Check the injector control module (FICM/driver) supply voltage circuit against spec.
  3. Test the module ground circuits against battery ground for excessive resistance.
  4. Repair any short-to-voltage or open in the supply harness to the injector group.
  5. If wiring and grounds are good, replace the faulty injector control/driver module and re-test.

FAQ

Quick answers

Is it safe to drive with P2154?+
Not recommended β€” losing supply to an injector group can cause misfire, hard starting, or stalling, and prolonged misfire can damage the catalytic converter.
Can I just clear P2154?+
It clears, but returns quickly because the fault is an electrical circuit problem that has to be repaired, not reset.
