What it means
P2162 sets when the PCM compares two vehicle-speed signals ("A" and "B") and finds they don't agree. The computer uses speed data for the speedometer, transmission shifting, cruise control, and stability systems, so a mismatch mainly affects those features rather than how the engine runs.
