What it means
P0245 means the ECM has detected a low-voltage (short-to-ground or open) fault in the control circuit for the turbo/supercharger wastegate solenoid — the valve that regulates boost. With boost control impaired the engine usually falls back to a safe, reduced-power mode. It's an electrical fault in the boost-control system, not an engine mechanical problem, and only applies to forced-induction engines.
