Invalid Data Received From Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) Control Module
Communication network (ABS / brakes)
Generic OBD-II
Medium
What it means
U0415 sets when a control module reads data from the ABS control module that is missing, out of range, or implausible. The usual effect is that ABS, traction, and stability control shut off as a precaution β your normal brakes still work, but the anti-lock and stability features are disabled until it's fixed.
Medium
Can I keep driving? Your normal (base) brakes still work, but ABS, traction, and stability control may be disabled β brake with extra care, especially on slippery roads.

How to diagnose & fix
Work through it in order
- Scan all modules and record stored codes and freeze-frame data before clearing.
- Check battery and charging voltage β low or noisy voltage is a common cause of bus faults.
- Inspect connectors and wiring to the ABS control module and along the data bus.
- If a module was recently replaced or flashed, confirm the software is compatible.
- Run the manufacturer's pinpoint tests on the ABS module and its wheel-speed inputs; replace only if confirmed.
