What it means
U0145 means the vehicle's network has stopped receiving expected messages from the body control module (BCM). The BCM runs many body-electrical functions — lighting, locks, wipers, windows, and on many cars it also gates the immobilizer and start authorization. Expect erratic body-electrical behavior; on some vehicles the BCM also authorizes starting, so a no-start is possible.
