What it means
P0641 means the "A" 5-volt sensor reference circuit is open β the shared reference voltage the ECM supplies to sensors such as the throttle, MAP, and pedal-position sensors. When it's lost, multiple sensors can read wrong at the same time, so the engine may run poorly or enter a reduced-power mode, and in some cases may be hard to start.
